Sky has launched its most formidable web3 advertising activation thus far by minting an unique collection of 110 NFTs, which have been made obtainable exclusively to Sky VIP Members across the second season of the BAFTA-award-winning Gangs of London present.  Designed to further immerse Gangs of London followers and VIP members in the world of Gangs of London, every NFT offers exclusive access, secret experiences and never-before-seen content material for those who hold them in their digital wallets.  The unique paintings was created by Ferenc Nothof, the Gangs of London Season 2 Storyboard Illustrator, and depict major characters from the show.  Developed in partnership with AKQA, the Gangs of London NFT collection sees Sky take its exploration of web3 advertising to a new stage.  The 110 NFTs had been supplied to VIP members through a digital ballot by way of the Gangs of London NFT microsite, which is on the market right here.

GHOSTS is a new graphic novel created by Gangs of London season 2 lead director, Corin Hardy, written by Rowan Athale and illustrated by Ferenc Nothof. Inspired by the shows blend of grounded, emotional drama and graphic-novelized, heightened genre-heavy look, feel and tone, fans will get a greater insight into the characters and city of London that they’ve experienced on display. GHOSTS follows lead character Elliot Carter, as he travels the world to carry out the orders of The Investors. The digital model of the graphic novel may be considered here.
Lucy Johnstone, head of selling, Sky Entertainment commented: “Developing and minting an NFT assortment has been a fancy and impressive project. As a Sky-first, and with Gangs of London being a much-loved Sky Original, with a passionate fanbase, it was essential we got it right. The staff have carried out an incredible job of creating one thing unique and special that speaks to fans and delivers value for our clients.”
Joshua Lim, inventive director, AKQA added: “It’s been an exciting journey collaborating with Sky on Gangs of London, exploring what the longer term holds for better entertainment experiences and taking the first steps collectively into an entire new panorama. We realised that embracing the emergence of NFTs would allow us to blur the traces between the physical and story worlds, immersing viewers further into the world of the show and in the end creating an unprecedented expertise shaping the future of entertainment.”
Tim Struthers, head of programme manufacturers, Sky Studios added: “As a BAFTA-awarding-winning Sky Original, we wanted to broaden the world of Gangs of London across new frontiers and felt an original graphic novel was the proper medium to treat followers of the present to extra content that includes their favorite characters. Working with show creators Pulse Films, season 2 lead director and executive producer Corin Hardy teamed up with writer Rowan Athale and illustrator Ferenc Nothof to bring the graphic novel to life, with this primary instalment giving viewers of the present a bridge between seasons 1 and 2; whether they be die-hard followers or those just discovering the primary season.”
